A young man identified as Tito has been found dead several days after he went missing in Bomet County, Kenya, in a case that has shocked residents and left many struggling to understand what happened. This news comes after we reported that Man Accuses Married Woman of Ending Four-Year Affair, Claims Three Children and Demands ₦4.5 Million Compensation
Tito was last seen on November 17, 2025, after he closed his shop around 9 p.m. and stepped out to get food. When he did not return home that night, his family became worried and began searching for him early the next morning.
His cousin, Gilbert Langat, was one of the first people the family contacted. He immediately joined the search and cried more than anyone else, according to relatives. He also posted Tito’s picture on Facebook, pleading with the public to help find what he described as his “beloved brother.” Many people who saw his reaction believed he was genuinely heartbroken.
However, the case took a dramatic turn when two of Gilbert’s neighbours contacted the police after noticing suspicious behaviour. Officers arrested Gilbert and began questioning him. What happened next shocked the entire community, as the same man who had been crying the loudest and leading the search took the police to the exact location where he had dumped Tito’s body.
Images from the scene show officers and local residents retrieving the body from thick vegetation. Tito’s hands and legs were tied, and there were bruises on his body, suggesting he may have been tortured before he died. The discovery left his family in disbelief, especially because Gilbert had been acting like the most concerned person throughout the search.
Gilbert is now in police custody as investigations continue. Detectives say the nature of the killing indicates that more than one person may have been involved, and they are working to uncover the full details. For now, the motive behind the killing remains unknown, and the community is waiting for answers as the police dig deeper into the case.
