In the footage obtained by Prudentj2, the militant, dressed in what appeared to be a Nigerian military jacket, boasted about recent abductions of schoolchildren in Kebbi and Niger states. He claimed responsibility for the attacks and warned that more high-profile kidnappings are being planned.
According to him, the Nigerian government has failed in its duty to protect citizens. He mocked ongoing security operations and insisted that recent arrests of suspected terrorists had not weakened their network.
“Everyone has woken up. We kidnapped school students in Kebbi State and Niger State. Next time, we will be kidnapping Nigerian military officers and taking them to the forest,” he said coldly in the video.
Pointing to the jacket he wore, he continued, “Look at the clothes I’m wearing — they belong to a soldier. Nigeria, in the days ahead, we will kidnap a governor, we will kidnap the President, and others.”
The militant further told Nigerians to rely on divine protection rather than the government, insisting authorities could not guarantee anyone’s safety. “We are not concerned that they have arrested anyone. The government cannot secure you. You people should return to God to protect you, answer your wishes, and wipe the tears from your eyes,” he said.
He ended the recording by greeting his followers on social media and warning that more violence should be expected.
The threats come amid escalating attacks on schools in northern Nigeria. On November 21, 2025, terrorists invaded St. Mary’s Papiri Private Catholic Secondary School in Papiri, Agwara Local Government Area of Niger State, abducting an estimated 100 students and teachers. The attack, confirmed by local officials, occurred between 2am and 3am in what eyewitnesses described as a heavily coordinated operation.
Just five days earlier, gunmen stormed the Maga Comprehensive Girls’ Secondary School in Kebbi State, abducting about 25 female students and killing at least one staff member. A school guard was also injured. Survivors said the attackers invaded the compound around 5:52 am, firing sporadically as students prepared for morning activities.
The renewed wave of mass abductions has fueled fears across northern communities and raised urgent questions about the country’s security architecture, especially as terrorists now openly threaten to target top political figures.
Security agencies have not yet released an official response to the video.
