According to her, she was married for two years to a man who constantly reminded her of her poor background, calling her his “property” because he picked her from the gutters. He would insult her family, restrict her movements, and forbid her from seeing her friends or taking up a job.
To make matters worse, his mother reportedly moved in with them, claiming she could not sit back and watch her son’s money being “wasted” on a woman who came from a poor home. Despite all efforts to win her mother-in-law’s heart, the woman said she was constantly mistreated and even beaten by her husband — who always sided with his mother.

One day, she decided she had had enough. She packed her belongings and returned to her parents’ house to start afresh.
Determined to rebuild her life, she worked odd jobs, saved money, and returned to school. Her hard work soon paid off when she graduated with excellent results and won a scholarship to study and work in the United Kingdom as a teacher.
Today, she is earning a comfortable salary, owns houses back home in Nigeria, and has sponsored her siblings abroad — turning her once-broken life into a story of victory.
“My ex-husband and his mother, who treated me like nothing, have been begging for forgiveness for over a year now,” she revealed joyfully. “Marriage isn’t everything. Sometimes, walking away is the best way to find yourself again.”
Her story stands as a strong message to women everywhere — you can rise again, no matter how deep you’ve fallen.
🙏 "I’m grateful to God for lifting me from pain to purpose," she added.
