A woman has cried out in deep pain and confusion after revealing that her husband keeps using her past life against her, even after she changed and dedicated herself fully to their marriage. The woman, identified as Adefemi, said she is emotionally broken and does not know what to do anymore. She shared her painful experience with PRUDENTJ2.COM, explaining how her life took a difficult turn after losing her parents at a very young age.
According to her, life was never easy growing up. She and her two brothers were passed from one family to another after the death of their parents. They suffered hunger, rejection, and abuse from people who were supposed to care for them.
At a point, her elder brother got involved in stealing at Onitsha Market just to survive. Unfortunately, he was caught and beaten to death by a mob. That tragic event broke her completely.
“I told myself that I would never steal. So, I started working as a sales girl, hoping to earn a living through hard work,” she said.
However, she explained that life as a sales girl was not any better. The people she worked for maltreated her, insulted her, and turned her into a house help. She said she could not endure it any longer, so she left.
That was when one of her friends introduced her to prostitution. She said she was still a virgin at that time, but desperation and hunger pushed her into it.

“The first night I decided to do it, I met a man who said he was in town for a seminar. I told him I was still a virgin. He was excited and told me he had never deflowered a lady before. He offered to pay me ₦30,000 per night and promised to give me ₦1 million after one month because I was a virgin,” she recalled.
She said she accepted, hoping that after one month, she would get the money and start a new life. Unfortunately, after sleeping with her for a month, the man disappeared without paying her a single naira. She said that experience broke her spirit, and she almost took her own life out of shame and disappointment.
“I cried every day. I felt used and dirty. But I later decided to move on and find a better life,” she said.
Years later, she met a man who changed her life — or so she thought. Ironically, the man she later married was one of her former customers during her prostitution days. He told her he liked her attitude and begged her to quit prostitution and start a relationship with him. She said she accepted and they fell in love.
After some time, they got married and started a family. For the first few years, everything was beautiful. He treated her well, and she finally felt loved and accepted.
But three years into the marriage, everything changed.
“He started cheating openly. When I complained, he told me that I had no right to question him because, according to him, over 200 men had slept with me, yet he still married me. Those words broke me completely,” she said.
She said from that day, he started insulting her at every opportunity. Whenever they had a misunderstanding, he would call her names and mock her past.
“He would say, ‘Over 500 men have slept with you, so you should not talk to me about cheating.’ It became his favourite insult,” she said tearfully.
She also revealed that he now brings other women into their home. Whenever that happens, she would be forced to move into the visitor’s room while he spends the night with them in their matrimonial bed.
Recently, she said he bought a brand-new car for one of the women he is seeing, a lady named Chioma, while she does not even own a car.
The woman said she has been married for seven years but is now tired and emotionally drained. She said she has tried to endure, pray, and keep the peace, but her strength is gone.
“I am scared. If I leave the marriage, I don’t know what will happen to me. I don’t want to go back to prostitution. But if I stay, I am dying inside every day. I really need advice,” she cried.
Her emotional story has touched many hearts, with people expressing sympathy for her situation and urging her to seek help and protect her mental health.
