This development has brought happiness and relief because many people never believed that such a delicate and complex operation could be done here in Nigeria. The story of Angel came to light through the work of Omega Power Ministries, OPM, a church that is well known for running free schools, free hospitals, and giving help to orphans, widows and the less privileged in society. OPM runs thirty-eight free schools across the country for children who have lost their parents and for children who come from very poor homes.

Angel is one of the children who was enrolled into one of these OPM free schools. Reports reached the General Overseer of OPM, Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, that the little girl was always in serious pain anytime she went to use the toilet. Further information revealed that she was born with two reproductive organs, which made life very difficult for her as a child. Apostle Chibuzor then instructed that the child should be brought to his house together with her guardian.
When the girl was brought, the Apostle personally interviewed her and also spoke with the guardian who happened to be her late father’s sister. It was then confirmed that the child, whose name is Angel, had been going through serious challenges because of her condition. Angel is the first child of her parents. There are three children in total. Sadly, their father had died earlier, and their mother also died afterwards as a result of convulsion. This left the three children without both parents.
Because of this tragic situation, the father’s sister decided to carry Angel and look after her. She later enrolled Angel into one of the OPM free schools, so that the girl could get education without paying any school fees. The other two younger children remained in the village, living under very poor conditions and doing farm work to survive. Upon hearing this, Apostle Chibuzor instructed the aunt to immediately bring the other two children to him, so that they too can benefit from the care, support and free education that OPM provides for orphans.
After listening carefully to the case of Angel, Apostle Chibuzor directed that she should be taken to OPM free hospital for medical attention. At the hospital, after proper examination, the doctors then referred her to the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH, for advanced surgery.
On 29 September 2025, the surgery was successfully carried out by the medical experts in UPTH. By the grace of God, the operation went smoothly, and Angel is now doing well and recovering. The doctors carefully removed the male reproductive organ, leaving only the female reproductive organ. Angel is now completely fine.
All the medical bills and every expense for the treatment were fully covered by OPM Church. According to the Apostle, everything was made possible through tithes, donations, and offerings from the church members, which are always used to help orphans, widows, and the less privileged in the society.
The successful completion of this sensitive surgery is being celebrated and many people have described it as another sign that Nigeria has some of the best doctors and medical experts who are capable of handling very complex cases. Angel’s life has now changed for the better, and the story of this operation has become a source of relief and thanksgiving.
