According to the woman, she met the man, identified only as Kenneth, about four years ago. She said Kenneth opened up to her that he was married but unhappy in his marriage because, according to him, his wife was not good in bed and had only given him daughters. At that time, Kenneth already had four daughters but no son. She said Kenneth complained to her that he felt less of a man without a male child and that he desperately wanted a son to prove himself.

The woman said she felt pity for him and agreed to be in a relationship with him. She explained that Kenneth told her that he planned to divorce his wife and marry her if she first became pregnant and gave birth to a boy. According to her, Kenneth promised to meet her parents, perform all marriage rites and hold both a traditional and white wedding before the pregnancy became visible.
At that time, she had a fiancé who was loving and serious, but he was still struggling to grow his small retail business. She said she was already 30 years old then, and she feared that if she let Kenneth go, she might not find another man ready to marry her at her age. She said Kenneth was already successful, so she accepted his offer.
She explained that she believed she would have a male child because she came from a family where her mother had five male children and she was the only girl. She said she felt sure she had the gene to produce mostly boys.
Kenneth then rented an apartment for her, and she became pregnant the next month. But to their surprise, she gave birth to a baby girl. Two years later, she became pregnant again. Despite her wish to keep the gender a surprise, Kenneth insisted on a scan, which showed it was another girl.
She said after that, Kenneth changed completely. He stopped visiting, he stopped asking about his own children, and he abandoned her. She said it has now been six months since she gave birth to their second daughter, yet Kenneth has not come to see them once.
The woman expressed anger and disappointment, saying Kenneth came into her life when she was beautiful and full of hope, only to “suck” her dry, leave her with two children, and return to his wife and five children. She accused Kenneth of hiding the full truth about his family when he first met her.
Now, she said she is demanding five million naira from Kenneth to start her life afresh and take care of her children. She stated that she has told him about this severally but he has refused to act.
In her words, “I do not want any trouble, I do not want to take this case further, but believe me I will if pushed. Do not play with a woman’s emotions. If I am coming to social media, it is because I cannot hold it anymore, and you have pushed me enough.”
As of the time of writing this report, Kenneth has not publicly responded to the allegations.
