According to the NYSC Abia State Coordinator, Barrister Gladys Adama, these awardees proved themselves in their different places of primary assignment, many of which were far away from home. Out of more than 100 corps members recognised nationwide, Abia had the highest number – 9.
The governor thanked the state NYSC leadership for identifying the honourees and bringing them to the government’s attention. He also praised the awardees for their dedication, creativity, and national impact.
“May your journey in public service be marked by the same distinction that brought you national honour,” the governor said.
This automatic employment means the young achievers will now begin their careers in the Abia State Civil Service, continuing their service to the state and the nation.
