A bride's life took a tragic turn when her groom died in a car accident just a day before their wedding. On what should have been a joyous day, August 25, Shauntea Weaver, 40, found herself in deep mourning instead of celebration.
Her fiancé, Kirk Walker, 38, and his cousin, Rob McLaurin, 40, were killed by a wrong-way driver on the Henry Hudson Parkway in Harlem during Walker’s bachelor party. The tragic accident, which occurred around 2:20 a.m., left the couple’s dreams shattered.
Shauntea expressed her sorrow, stating, "I should be wearing my wedding dress now, not grieving the loss of the love of my life." She added that she still struggles to believe it's real, saying, "I feel like this is a TV show, and I’m going to wake up any minute."
The accident has also left Walker’s three children heartbroken, mourning the loss of their father just hours before what was meant to be a day of happiness.
