A Nigerian man identified as Charles Ike, who also refers to himself as Cha-le, has caused a stir online after publicly announcing that he is seeking a girlfriend for a serious relationship that will lead to marriage — but with an unusual and highly specific list of requirements.
Charles, a 39-year-old primary school teacher with nearly five years of experience, described himself as tall, brown-skinned, handsome, and financially stable. He stated that his genotype is AA and his blood group is O, adding that he is ready for marriage.
However, his conditions for choosing a partner have generated strong reactions.
According to his statement, Charles insists that his future wife must be tall, slim, and have a “completely flat stomach.” He said complexion does not matter, but age does, restricting his search to women between 18 and 25 years old.
Charles also emphasized that the woman must earn a monthly salary of at least ₦110,000, be “100% fertile,” and, in his words, “possess male eggs.” He further demanded that she be God-fearing, extremely submissive, and highly respectful.
In addition to this, he stated that his future partner must be hardworking and willing to do all house chores alone, insisting that it is “forbidden” and “disrespectful” for a man to participate in domestic duties when a woman is present.
He also noted that the woman must be the last-born in her family and have no family responsibilities whatsoever. His final requirement — which has sparked the strongest reactions — is that her mother must be deceased.
The statement, signed with his name, has circulated widely on social media, drawing shock, criticism, and heated debates about unrealistic expectations, gender roles, and the objectification of women in modern relationships.
Many online users described his demands as “disturbing,” “controlling,” and “deeply problematic,” while others questioned his understanding of fertility and basic biology.
As of now, Charles has not responded to the backlash, but his post continues to trend as Nigerians react to the controversial list.
