Young Mother and Her Two Children Missing Since 2022 After Travelling With Man Who Claimed He Wanted to Marry Her

The family of Mrs. Chidera Okenyi, a young mother of two, has been living in pain, fear, and confusion since she and her children mysteriously disappeared in March 2022. According to her family, Chidera was last seen in Awka-Etiti, Anambra State, before she reportedly travelled with a man who had come to their home claiming he wanted to marry her.

Her sister explained that the man, said to be from Enugu State but living in Imo, visited their family and introduced himself politely. He convinced their parents that his intentions were good and that he wanted to marry Chidera. He further requested that she visit his home so she could see where he lived and meet his people.

Trusting his words and believing he was genuine, Chidera’s parents allowed her to travel with him. She went along with her two young children, promising to return soon. Sadly, that was the last time anyone ever saw or heard from her.

“That was the end of my sister Chidera and her children,” her devastated sister said in tears. “We have searched everywhere, called her number countless times, and even visited different states — but we still cannot find them. We have not heard from her or that man since that day.”

The family has made several reports to different police stations, yet there has been no breakthrough. Her phones have remained switched off, and every effort to trace the man’s whereabouts has failed.

Now, after more than two years of silence, the Okenyi family is crying out to the public for help. They are pleading with anyone who has seen Chidera or her two children, or who has any useful information about their whereabouts, to please reach out immediately.
