It was an emotional and joyful day as a woman shared a touching story about her former housemaid, Mabel, whose life journey has now become a source of deep inspiration. According to her, twenty-two years ago, Mabel was brought to live with her and her husband when she was just eight years old. The little girl had lost her parents and two siblings in a fire accident, and only she was rescued. At that time, the woman and her husband were both primary school teachers with little means. Though they already had three sons and did not really need a housemaid, her heart was filled with pity for Mabel, and she pleaded with her husband to allow the girl to stay with them.
Mabel quickly proved to be different. She was smart, intelligent, and eager to learn. Whenever the woman taught her children, Mabel would quietly join and even answer some of the questions better than the others.
