In the post, the user expressed his frustration over what he described as injustice and double standards in the system.
He wrote that “one kidnapped a military general, took the lives of 32 innocent worshippers, harmed women, and also caused the death of several soldiers. He was arrested but now walks freely.”
The post went on to say that the other man, who only demanded the freedom of his people, remains in prison despite years of detention.
The user ended his message with the hashtag #FreeNnamdiKanu, calling for the release of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, who has been in custody since his arrest.
The post has gained hundreds of likes, comments, and shares within minutes, as many Nigerians joined the conversation — some supporting the call for fairness, while others warned against comparing the two individuals.
Many citizens on social media said the situation highlights the deep frustration among Nigerians over issues of justice, fairness, and equality before the law.
As of now, authorities have not responded to the growing online discussion.
