The man, who did not reveal his name but identified himself as a husband and father of two, expressed deep disappointment and anger over what he described as a “betrayal” by his wife and an “unacceptable” act by another man who allegedly began a romantic affair with her.
In a long, emotional post, the husband narrated how his marriage had recently gone through turbulence after his wife caught him cheating with another woman a month ago. He said he sincerely apologised, sought counselling with his wife, and began attending her church regularly as part of his efforts to rebuild trust.
“I even joined various church groups and became a full born-again Christian. I’ve never missed church since then,” he wrote.
However, the man said his efforts were met with a painful shock when he discovered “strange messages and pictures” on his wife’s phone which allegedly linked her to another man she met on Facebook.
“I can’t lie that I’m not disappointed in my wife. I never thought she would betray me like this,” he wrote.
“But what surprises me more is that another man would take advantage of a woman confiding in him about her marriage.”
He went on to call out the alleged lover, describing him as a 41-year-old bachelor “still chasing after anything in a skirt” and accused him of trying to take advantage of his wife’s vulnerable state.
“You may be rich and have more money than me but you can’t treat or love my wife better than me,” he warned.
“She loves me brother. I kindly advise you to find your own woman, get married, make your own kids, and get a life!”
Despite admitting to past mistakes in his marriage, including infidelity, the man said he has changed and is determined to protect his home and keep his family together. He also threatened to release private images allegedly exchanged between his wife and the man if the affair continues.
The post has sparked mixed reactions online, with some users criticising the husband for airing his marital problems publicly and others sympathising with him, saying he appears to be a man trying to rebuild his marriage.
The identity of the alleged lover and the wife remain undisclosed as of press time.
