A woman has raised a serious alarm after claiming that her newborn baby was allegedly swapped at birth just hours after delivery at a hospital, leaving her and her family in deep pain and confusion. According to the distraught mother, she went into labour around 3:00 AM and was immediately rushed to the hospital by her husband. She narrated that she delivered a healthy baby around 4:34 AM, but due to exhaustion, she was unable to hold her baby immediately after birth.
“I gave birth around 4:34 AM to a healthy baby,” she said in tears. “I was weak after delivery, so the nurse asked me to rest. When I woke up around 6:06 AM, I reached out to carry my child, only to find the baby wasn’t breathing.”
The woman explained that before delivery, her husband had stepped out of the hospital to buy baby clothes and a bathtub at the doctor’s request, leaving her alone in the ward with the nurse who helped her deliver.
“The baby wasn’t breathing, and to our surprise, the nurse said I gave birth to a baby girl, but earlier she had told me it was a boy,” the grieving mother said.
“We demanded clarification, and after running some tests, we found out the baby was not mine!”
She accused the hospital of gross negligence and possible baby swapping, insisting that her real baby was taken away.
“I am giving the hospital 24 hours to find my baby and return her to me,” she said emotionally.
“If they fail, I will expose them and ensure the world knows how carelessly they handled my case. After six years of marriage and childlessness, I finally conceived — only to go through this pain. I need my baby back!”
The woman’s story has sparked outrage on social media, with many calling for an immediate investigation into the hospital’s conduct.
Others have urged the Ministry of Health and law enforcement agencies to step in and uncover what truly happened.
As of press time, the hospital management has not issued an official statement regarding the incident.
Meanwhile, the heartbroken mother continues to plead for answers, holding on to hope that her real baby will be found and safely returned to her.
“I know the pain I went through to bring this child into the world,” she cried.
“Please, whoever is behind this — return my baby. I do not deserve this!”
