A young woman has revealed the shocking betrayal she suffered after finding out that she had been living under the same roof with her husband’s girlfriend for two years without knowing. According to her, she started dating her husband after her youth service. During their courtship, she occasionally met a girl in his house. He introduced the girl to her as his cousin. The girl was still in secondary school at the time, respectful, and often helped with chores like cooking, washing dishes, and cleaning. The woman said she even grew fond of the girl, bought her gifts, and never suspected anything.
After marriage, her husband suggested that the girl move in with them, claiming her parents were relocating to the village and she needed to stay behind to prepare for WAEC. Out of compassion, the woman agreed, and the girl became part of their household.
Things took a dark turn when the woman noticed the girl was pregnant. She informed her husband, expecting him to act, but instead, he dismissed her concerns. When she confronted the girl directly, the girl insulted her, saying she had no right to question her. The shock deepened when her husband sided with the girl and shouted at her for interfering.
When she insisted that the girl must leave, her husband laughed and told her she was free to go if she wanted. Later, he confessed that the girl was never his cousin but his girlfriend, and that he planned to marry her as a second wife because she was already pregnant with his child.
The revelation left the woman heartbroken and confused. “I was living with my husband’s girlfriend all this time without knowing. I feel crushed and betrayed,” she said in tears.
The shocking confession has stirred outrage, with many people describing the husband’s action as wickedness and betrayal of trust.
