The man who built the biggest pot did not prepare well. He did not get ready for the world to see his work. He did not think that this was his chance to show the world what Nigeria can do. When people were told that they should always be ready for opportunities, he must not have listened.
Why did he not make a pot that is strong enough? Why did a pot that was meant for such a great event break at the most important time? This was a chance for him to put his name and his brand on the world stage. But he missed it.
The pot should have been strong enough to carry at least three thousand kilograms. If Hilda was expected to carry two thousand kilograms, then the pot should have been made to carry more. That is how to be safe.
Just think about it. If that pot had worked well, the whole world would have celebrated Hilda and also celebrated the engineer who made the pot. His life would have changed. His work would have been known across the world.
This is a big lesson for everyone. Life does not always give notice. Sometimes it is only one chance. One work. One pot. It can lift you up or it can bring you down. Yesterday showed us that being ready is the key.
