According to her statement, sometime in the year two thousand and twenty-two she was in a relationship with a man who she believed was single. Unknown to her, he was already married with three children and his wife was pregnant with their fourth child. She explained that she only discovered the truth after she became pregnant by him.
In her words, the man showed no interest in her pregnancy or the unborn child. “He did not care about my child, whether it lived or not,” she wrote. This rejection left her depressed and broken. She confessed that she nearly took her own life but was saved by the support of her best friend, who encouraged her and helped her overcome the dark thoughts.
A month later, the best friend was preparing to travel abroad for studies. On the day of her departure, the woman went to the airport to see her off. It was there, at the airport, that she met a man who would change the course of her life.
She described him as a “cool guy.” They spoke briefly, exchanged contacts, and later went on a few dates. Within a week he asked her out, and she accepted. A few days later they became intimate. At that time, she decided to frame him into believing that the pregnancy she was already carrying belonged to him.
The man did not deny responsibility for the pregnancy. Instead, to her surprise, he accepted the news with joy. “I felt relieved,” she said. Later, he paid damages for the pregnancy and supported her through childbirth. She gave birth to twins, and the man took care of both mother and children.
According to her, the man later proposed marriage. They had a private wedding, after which he returned to Canada a month later. About a year later, her visa and the children’s visas were ready, and they joined him in Canada. She soon got a comfortable job and said that since then, they had been living their best lives.
She described her husband as a kind, gentle, and understanding man who loves the children deeply. But even with their happy life, her conscience continued to trouble her. She realised she could not keep the lie anymore, so she decided to confess the truth.
“I told him the truth about the babies and how I framed him,” she wrote. But to her surprise, he calmly told her that he already knew the children were not biologically his. He said he had been waiting for her to open up.
“He just smiled and told me not to cry or feel bad because he forgave me a long time ago, and that the babies are his because they only know him,” she wrote.
It has now been a year since that conversation. The woman said she is now pregnant by him and expressed gratitude for his love and forgiveness.
In her post, she introduced the man as her husband, Mr Cletus Ikeze. She thanked him publicly for always being there for her and for showing her what true love means. “I want you to know that I am grateful, and I will never stop loving you no matter what,” she wrote.
She ended her message with the words, “Sometimes the truth sets us free.”
The post, which she described as her “true life story,” has been widely shared and discussed online. Many readers have reacted with shock at the twists and turns, while others have praised her husband’s patience and forgiveness.
For now, the couple live together in Canada with their children and are expecting a new baby. Their story, from heartbreak at home to happiness abroad, continues to spread across social media as one of the most striking confessions of the year.
