The Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE) has reassured the public that their Prime Minister, Simon Ekpa, is safe and busy with important matters in Finland. This statement came after some news claimed that he had been arrested.
In a press release signed by Dr. Ngozi Orabueze, Chief of Staff to Simon Ekpa, the group clarified that Simon Ekpa is handling issues from the past year and is also preparing for the upcoming Biafra independence event. The event, called the DRIBC 2024 Convention, will take place from November 29 to December 3 in Finland.
The BRGIE urged Biafrans to stay focused on the planned convention and ignore any rumors or fake news aimed at distracting their activities. They reminded everyone to work hard to ensure the event's success.
A social media post by a supporter also confirmed that Simon Ekpa is okay and safe. The post advised Biafrans to ignore false information spread by people who oppose their goals.
