Simon Ekpa, a Finnish-Nigerian agitator and leader of the self-proclaimed Biafra Republic Government In-Exile, has been arrested in Finland along with four others for alleged terrorism-related offenses.
The Finnish Central Criminal Police confirmed that Ekpa, identified as the main suspect, was detained on charges of "public incitement to commit a crime with terrorist intent." The four others were arrested on suspicion of financing terrorist activities.

The Päijät-Häme District Court remanded Ekpa in custody on Thursday, November 21. Local authorities disclosed that the investigation focuses on a Finnish citizen of Nigerian origin, born in the 1980s, accused of promoting violent activities in Southeastern Nigeria through social media channels.
Speaking about the case, Crime Commissioner Otto Hiltunen explained:

The Finnish authorities emphasized that the investigation involves close international cooperation, adding that all suspects were apprehended earlier in the week.
