A very sad event occurred recently in Ilorin, Kwara State, where video showing four members of the same family died after eating food made from rice.
The victims included a mom and her children who are aged about 9, 7 and 5. This incident happened at Oshin area along Asa Dam road on August 17th Saturday is suspected to have been caused by food poisoning.
They prepared rice for breakfast that morning before they went out. Upon their arrival at home in the evening, they found one daughter dead and cold. She was then rushed to University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital (UITH) but she was pronounced dead there.
In addition, two other children with similar signs were taken to UITH where they also died together with their mother on Monday morning.
The father too ate some of the rice but he is now hospitalized. The head of the house Jagunmolu Adinni confirmed this information adding that Basheer is his only surviving son as at now.
This tragedy has stunned everybody around here reminding us all how dangerous contaminated foods can be.
