The Abia State government has secured a $50 million loan to expedite the construction of 500 kilometers of roads in the state. Governor Okezie Ike Onion told newsmen in Aba on Thursday that the incoming administration would have access to the funds.
Governor Ikpeazu said his administration is determined to secure the loan because of its commitment and determination to leave Abia in a better condition than it was.
The governor argued that the money paved the way for Abia to record large-scale road construction to boost infrastructural development in the state. He said the Enyimba Economic City project envisioned by his government would create over 600,000 jobs for prosperous youths when completed in 10 years.
