House of Reps. Charged all security agencies to resolve cases pertaining to kidnapping
On Tuesday, the House of Representatives made a demand that all security agencies in the country should be charged to resolve all cases pertaining to missing persons across the country.
The house specifically requested the DSS and Nigerian security and civil defense corps, NSCDC, to make delicate moves on the unresolved cases to restore hope to the masses.
The Parliament also made a decision asking the police to look into the incidents of kidnapping and other security challenges across Cross River State. Especially the waterways of the Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State.
These charges were followed by two separate motions. One move by honorable Chris Azugbogu, who represented Nnewi, South/North/Ekwusigo Federal Constituency of Anambra State.
And the second, followed by honorable Alex Egbona considered at the plenary.
The motion of course was named URGENT NEED to LOOK into CASES of UNRESOLVED KIDNAPPED INSECURITY in the SOUTH-EAST ANAMBRA
Mr. Azugbogu made it open that there have been various cases of missing persons in the Southeast. Pointing fingers in Anambra State
He said;
"Amongst other crimes recorded during the said period, was the kidnap of one Mr. Obiora Agbasimola. The candidate of labour party, for the Anambra Governorship election"
"He was kidnapped on September 18 in Anambra State"
"About five engineers working with a Kalyan consultant in Ebonyi State were also kidnapped. Since November 3, and nothing has been heard till date".
"This with numerous other unresolved cases create a high level of sense of insecurity in the southeast".
"Concern that till today, many weeks after and still counting, nothing has been heard about most of these cases".
"These persons have families, and loved ones who are already broken and left in perpetual agony", he concluded.
