The Northern Elders Forum has said that the northern region of Nigeria is rich and can survive on its resources without relying on money generated via VAT in Southern states.

Senator Rochas Okorocha (APC-Imo West) has called for the reduction of Nigerian lawmakers to cut cost.

Former Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi has told Nigerians to stop cursing their leaders over hardship.
The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and leader of the Tijjaniyya Sect in Nigeria, said this while addressing members of the Sect from seven states of the North West, in Sokoto on Tuesday September 21.
6. Buhari Will Not Name, Shame Boko Haram Financiers - Femi Adesina.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime will not name and shame Boko Haram financiers and other sponsors of terrorism in Nigeria, says his media aide Femi Adesina.
“Naming and shaming will not be the motive. Bringing malefactors to justice will be it,” Mr Adesina told Channels TV on Monday.
“Nigeria is not interested in naming and shaming anybody. Rather, it wants to bring them to justice.”
In May, the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, announced that high-profile Nigerians were financing terrorism in the country.

The governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, has stated that it is difficult to execute the Anti-Open Grazing laws which his counterparts in the Southern part of Nigeria have passed to curb insecurity in the region.
He, then, cautioned them not to deploy much energy on the laws, adding that it would take time for it to materialise.
8. Buhari Hired Pro-Government Protesters In New York, Paid Them $50 Per Hour.
Pro-government Nigerian protesters who countered groups agitating for self-determination in New York, United States on Monday were paid $50 per hour, SaharaReporters has gathered.
One of the people involved in “the deal” told SaharaReporters that the “One Nigeria” protesters were promised $50 for one hour and $150 for three hours to be at the venue of the protest and to show support for the President Muhammadu Buhari regime despite the glaring failures.
9. Davido’s Official Photographer is Dead
Davido’s official photographer, Fortunate Umurname Peter is reportedly dead. He was aged 24.
According to several posts on social media, the celebrity photographer died on Tuesday.
Peter was the brain behind most of Davido’s photos on Instagram and also a member of the singer’s crew.
He was born and raised in Bariga, Lagos but hails from Owerri in Imo state.

The University of Abuja Teaching Hospital (UATH) has rejected claims that it treated Obadiah Mailafia, the former deputy governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), shabbily before his death.
Recall that the Middle-Belt Forum had in a statement accused doctors at the hospital of refusing to resuscitate Obadiah.
