A mother has shared an emotional testimony after her three-month-old baby narrowly avoided surgery when a missing earring was discovered lodged deep inside the child’s ear.
According to the woman, the frightening incident began three days earlier when she realized she could not find one of her baby’s earrings. At first, she assumed the small jewelry piece had fallen somewhere on the baby’s bed and searched the area, but it was nowhere to be found.
Days later, she said she suddenly felt the urge to check her baby’s ear closely.
“To my shock, I saw the earring deep inside her ear,” the mother recalled.
Panicked by the discovery, she rushed the infant to a nearby pharmacy, hoping the object could be removed quickly. However, she said the more the pharmacist attempted to extract the earring, the deeper it appeared to move inside the baby’s ear.
Realizing the situation could become more dangerous, the mother immediately took her child to a hospital for professional medical attention.
At the hospital, doctors made several attempts to remove the earring but initially struggled to get it out. After repeated unsuccessful efforts, the attending doctor reportedly informed the mother that surgery might be the only remaining option to safely remove the object.
The news left the mother devastated.
“At that point, I began crying uncontrollably,” she said, explaining that she could not bear the thought of her three-month-old baby going through surgery.
She said she quietly said a short prayer in her heart and then pleaded with the doctor to make one final attempt before proceeding with surgery.
According to the mother, the doctor reluctantly agreed to try again. This time, however, the earring came out easily without any complications.
Both the mother and the doctor were reportedly surprised at how quickly the object was removed after the earlier difficulties.
The relieved mother described the moment as a miracle and expressed deep gratitude to God for what she believes was divine intervention.
“Imagine my three-month-old baby going through surgery. I’m still grieving the loss of my mother, and then this happened,” she said emotionally.
She concluded by encouraging others to join her in giving thanks to God for what she described as a frightening situation that ended in relief.
Medical experts often advise parents to seek immediate professional help if a foreign object becomes lodged in a child’s ear, nose, or throat, as improper attempts at removal can sometimes push the object deeper and cause further complications.
