A tragic incident has shaken residents of Eli-Ozu, Port Harcourt, after a young woman reportedly lost her life under disturbing circumstances on Monday, 16 December 2025.
According to eyewitness accounts, the young lady was dropped off by an unknown vehicle near St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Eli-Ozu. Shortly after dropping her, the vehicle reportedly sped off immediately, raising suspicion among nearby residents.
Moments later, the young woman was seen running out in distress, screaming for help and begging for water. Concerned members of the public quickly gathered around her to assist.
Eyewitnesses said she appeared weak, confused, and in severe pain. Some good Samaritans poured water on her in an attempt to revive her, while others reportedly tried first aid measures. There were also efforts to rush her to a nearby hospital.
Unfortunately, reports claim that she was rejected by at least one medical facility, and while further attempts were being made to get help, the young woman collapsed after struggling for several minutes and was later confirmed dead.
The exact cause of death has not yet been officially confirmed by medical authorities or the police.
