According to reports, the nurse has developed a strange habit of falling asleep while on duty. Some members of staff said they noticed her whispering words and smiling in her sleep.
One of the medical staff, identified as Sam, explained that he first observed the nurse neglecting her duties while a patient was waiting for attention. “She loves sleeping so much. A patient was brought for her to attend to, but instead of taking care of the woman, she continued sleeping,” he said.
Although some staff suggested reporting the case to the hospital management, others hesitated, saying they did not want to be responsible for someone losing her job. Instead, the matter was brought to a senior doctor, identified as Dr. Daniel.
Dr. Daniel explained that he initially overlooked the complaint due to several issues demanding his attention. However, when the matter persisted, he decided to approach the nurse directly.
He said: “That evening, I went to her office around 6pm. She was supposed to have closed for the day, but I met her still sleeping. I drew closer to wake her up and noticed that she was whispering strange words while smiling in her sleep. She did not stop talking. Out of fear, I tapped her, and immediately she woke up. Her eyes were fixed on me, and she asked why I had entered her office without knocking.”
Dr. Daniel further revealed that the nurse looked at him and asked a disturbing question: “I hope you did not hear any of those words I said while asleep?”
This incident has now caused concern among hospital staff, with many describing her behaviour as mysterious and unusual. Some fear that her sleeping habit could put patients at risk if not addressed quickly.
As of the time of filing this report, hospital authorities have not made any official statement on the matter.
