The couple looked radiant in their traditional ceremony, dressed in matching purple outfits. In one photo, the groom, who appears older, stood proudly with his arm around his bride, while she gently placed her hand on his shoulder. Smiling with joy, the woman shared the pictures online with the message: “Congratulations to me and my man! For all the single girls, God will bless you with a good husband soon.”
But as the photos spread online, reactions poured in, and not everyone was sending congratulations. Many social media users focused on the visible age gap between the couple.
One comment teased: “Untop ancestors when you marry, you still dey motivate singles.” Another joked about her caption, suggesting she might have made a mistake.
Some were even harsher, with a user writing: “Chai babe you no try at all ooo, you for just remain single or be baby mama.” Others warned of challenges ahead, saying: “No be small thing you go see for labour room.”
Meanwhile, some defended the couple, stressing that peace of mind matters more than age. Congratulations dear, your home is blessed.” The bride herself agreed, replying: “Louder baby.”
