According to witnesses, the family was travelling from Agbo to Benin when tragedy struck. A truck carrying fruits from the north suddenly suffered brake failure. The truck rammed into the back of the Toyota Highlander with great force. The impact pushed the smaller vehicle directly under a large trailer that was moving in front of them. Shockingly, the trailer driver did not even notice what had happened and continued driving, dragging the badly damaged car underneath it for some distance.
The pictures from the scene tell a heartbreaking story. The Highlander was crushed almost beyond recognition. The roof caved in, the doors were twisted, and the back was torn apart. Many people who saw the wreck doubted if anyone could still be alive inside.
But against all odds, God showed mercy. The man, his wife, and the two other people inside the car all survived the terrible crash. They came out alive, leaving onlookers speechless.
Speaking after the accident, the man expressed deep gratitude. He said, “I am grateful to God that I and my family are still alive. Looking at the car, it is a miracle that we survived. This could have ended in sorrow, but God stepped in.”

The shocking incident has once again raised questions about road safety in Nigeria. Many accidents are caused by vehicles that are not properly maintained, especially heavy trucks with brake problems. Motorists have called on authorities to check trucks regularly before they are allowed to use the highways.
For now, the family is safe, though shaken by the experience. The wrecked Highlander stands as proof of what could have been a tragedy but turned into a testimony of life.
This is not just news, it is a reminder that life is fragile, and every day we live is a gift.
