According to his younger sibling, the young man was contacted by a friend who convinced him to relocate to Nigeria with the promise of a good job and better opportunities. Shortly after his arrival, he began reaching out to his own friends, urging them to join him, claiming that life in Nigeria was far better than what they were experiencing back home.
While many of his friends refused, a few eventually accepted his persuasion. Those who relocated with him also cut ties with their former jobs, and now, even their families are expressing deep concern. Relatives complain that they no longer send recent photographs, keep only brief phone contacts, and refuse to return home.
The family explained that after months of pressure, their son reluctantly shared a single photo with his best friend. In the picture, he appeared drastically thinner and unwell. Since then, his condition has continued to worry loved ones.
“It’s been over two years since he left,” his sibling said. “He is not doing well at all, but he refuses to come back. He won’t even disclose the name of his neighborhood. We are worried sick. My mother is inconsolable.”
The family is now appealing to the public for help. They believe that someone in Nigeria may recognize him and provide information about his whereabouts or condition.
“We beg for help. Please, if anyone sees or knows him, kindly reach out. Our family is deeply worried, and his mother is heartbroken,” the plea concluded.
