In a lengthy testimony posted online, Adesogan narrated how he moved into a two-bedroom apartment in 2018, weeks before his wedding. Unknown to him, the compound had a disturbing history. According to neighbors, the landlord was feared in the area, and families who had previously lived in the same flat reportedly suffered strange illnesses, especially kidney stones.
Adesogan said he and his wife were later warned by a neighbor who revealed that her own three children had undergone surgery for kidney stones, and that she herself had been operated on twice. She also alleged that the last family who occupied the apartment lost members of their household to the same condition.
Barely two months into their stay, Adesogan’s wife began experiencing severe stomach pains. Medical tests at two separate laboratories confirmed she had developed kidney stones. The news left her weak and frightened, especially after hearing about the fate of others.
Adesogan, however, insisted that the illness was spiritual. Against medical advice, he discharged his wife from the hospital and embarked on three days of fasting and intense prayer. He recounted that on the third day, he experienced a burning sensation in his stomach while praying. He rushed to the toilet and claimed to have passed kidney stones himself.
“By the next morning, my wife’s pains had disappeared. We went back for another scan, and the results showed she was perfectly fine. The kidney stones were gone. Indeed, there’s nothing too hard for God to do,” he wrote.
The development reportedly angered their landlord, who allegedly asked the couple to vacate the house, citing noise from music as an excuse. Adesogan said he confronted the landlord, accusing him of diabolical practices. To his surprise, the landlord allegedly admitted to “spiritual operations” and evicted them without refunding their remaining rent.
Reflecting on the experience, Adesogan emphasized the importance of men taking their role in family prayer seriously.
“If I was slack, my wife would not have survived the first year of our marriage. Men must mount in the place of prayer. You’re the head, lead by example, if not, they will use your family for peppersoup,” he warned.
He added that there was “a more shocking part” of his story, which he promised to reveal in a subsequent post.
