A popular pastor in Accra, Ghana, has been arrested for allegedly burying his sick two-year-old son alive inside a room in his church.
The man, identified as Rev. Israel Eshun, is the founder and general overseer of God Host Favour Chapel. Reports say he also runs the Yesu Agyemie Herbal Centre.
According to reports from Angel FM, the incident happened after doctors at Korle Bu Hospital told the pastor that his son’s chances of recovery were very slim. Shockingly, instead of informing his wife or other family members, Rev. Eshun reportedly buried the boy inside the church building.
The sad truth came to light when his wife, Mrs. Christian Marcathy Eshun, also known as Maame Ama, started asking questions about the whereabouts of their son.
After several inquiries, she discovered that the child had died — and worse, he had been secretly buried in the church without her knowledge or consent.
The reason why Rev. Eshun chose to bury the boy in secret is still unknown, but the act has caused anger and confusion in the community, raising serious questions about his actions.
The Ghana Police Service has since arrested the pastor, and investigations are ongoing to find out the full details of what happened.
