Nigerian music executive and talent manager, Jude Okoye, has thrown fresh shades at his brother Peter Okoye, singer Cynthia Morgan, and other artists who once worked under his record label.
Jude Okoye Speaks Out
In a long Instagram post, Jude revealed that all the artists who left his label shared one thing in common – they became big and successful because he supported them and gave them his platform. He claimed they later turned their backs on him out of greed because they wanted to “eat alone”.
According to him, none of them complained after leaving but bragged about being free and independent. Now, after falling off and becoming broke, they have returned to blaming him for their woes instead of accepting responsibility for their own choices.
“They all have one thing in common: They were big, influential and successful when I was shouldering them with my platform until they got greedy and wanted to eat alone and so left. They never complained afterwards. Rather, they bragged about their ‘newfound freedom’ and ‘making it all on their own’. Years down the line, they fell off the wagon and became broke, and instead of accepting responsibility, they are pointing fingers at the same person they left.”
Blackmail Allegations and EFCC Drama
Jude also accused them of trying to blackmail him by fabricating lies, adding fraud and money laundering allegations to his name to get him jailed and force him to submit to their demands. He stood his ground for two months before he was eventually released.
Earlier this year, Jude Okoye was arraigned by the EFCC for alleged ₦1.38 billion fraud. He was detained at the Federal High Court in Ikoyi and regained his freedom in April 2025. His brother, Paul Okoye, celebrated his release and threw subtle jabs at their twin brother Peter for allegedly trying to frustrate Jude’s bail process.
Family Feud with Peter Okoye and Cynthia Morgan’s Claims
The drama within the Okoye family is no secret. Jude has said that Peter does not respect him and that he has had nothing to do with Psquare for over eight years, yet people expect him to settle their beef.
In 2020, Cynthia Morgan claimed that Jude seized her social media accounts and her stage name when she left his label. She also accused him of owing her ₦7 million and cursed him publicly, calling him “evil”. Jude denied the allegations and mocked her by sarcastically saying that even Dangote owes him ₦20 billion.
So far, neither Peter Okoye nor Cynthia Morgan has officially responded to Jude’s new accusations.
