There is a young girl called Chinenye Ezekwueme. Many people have been talking about her but very few really know her true story. Before you judge her or say things about her, please take some time to hear from those who have seen her pain with their own eyes. We posted the video on prudentj2 Facebook page, you can watch it here
In her school, Richland Academy Oba, almost everyone knows how much Chinenye has suffered. The proprietor knows, the vice principal knows, and every teacher can tell you that this girl has seen serious hardship. Her classmates are not left out. They know she often comes to school without lunch, without any money for transport, and sometimes she cannot pay her school fees on time.
Can you imagine that in this year 2025, when so many people post pictures of expensive clothes and fancy shoes online, a young girl like Chinenye still uses pieces of cloth as sanitary pads because she cannot afford proper ones? This is not a rumour — it is the truth.
Today, a kind friend gave me one hundred thousand naira. I used it to help clear part of Chinenye’s school fees. But that is just a drop in the ocean. There is still so much to do for her. Those close to her, like people from St. Alphonsus and Divine Mercy parishes, have confirmed her struggle. The parish priest himself once stepped in to help her.
It is sad that this young girl has lived like an orphan when her father is still alive. Many people do not know that Chinenye left her father in Lagos when she was just five years old. She went to live with her aunt in Port Harcourt and there was peace in that home until the woman died. After that, Chinenye was sent to Jos, where she stayed for eight good years. She did not try to run away. She did not make trouble. She just lived quietly.
But things changed last year. She was sent to Oba in Anambra State to live with another aunt. This woman is old and needed help in the house. That was when Chinenye’s problems became worse. I am not here to blame her family for everything. But I believe that even if her family failed her, should the whole world fail her too? Should neighbours, schoolmates, and strangers close their eyes to her tears?
Chinenye deserves better than this. She deserves love, care, and a chance to finish her education. She needs people who will not just talk about her behind her back but stand up for her. Before you say bad things about her, please, I beg you, go to Richland Academy Oba and ask the teachers about her. They will tell you how much she has suffered since she came there last year.
I want to do what I can for her. This week, I will help her open a bank account. I will also support her so that she can complete her NECO exams. It is my prayer that her father will come to Oba and hear directly from the people who know what has been happening to his daughter.
May God settle this matter in His own time. May Chinenye find the peace and support she has long prayed for. Watch Video Here
