Viral ex-hawker Wisdom Alfred, widely known as Dr H2O, has made a heartfelt appeal for another chance after his business collapsed.
In a new video clip circulating on social media, he admitted that he lost a ₦15 million investment from Aquafina because he did not know how to manage such a large sum of money.
Aquafina had sponsored his bottled water business by providing ₦15 million in funding along with equipment including machines, a generator, and a freezer valued at ₦8 million.
Dr H2O, who first went viral in 2023 when a video of him hawking bottled water caught the public’s attention, explained that his inexperience led to poor financial management.
In the video, he spoke openly about how handling the money for the first time proved overwhelming. He mentioned that his shop experienced unusual events, such as his leg shaking uncontrollably, which led him to buy drugs and pray for help.
Dr H2O also noted that he stopped buying goods on May 26, 2024, when the business began to collapse. He described the loss of funds as something he still struggles to understand, even though he believes his survival is due to God’s grace.
The video has sparked mixed reactions online. Some viewers expressed sympathy for his plight, while others were critical of his business practices.
Despite the varied responses, Dr H2O’s plea for a second chance has resonated with many who believe everyone makes mistakes when trying something new.
