I met my fiancé two years ago, and he was everything you could ever want in a man: hardworking, handsome, and always going out of his way to make me happy. Neither of us had children, and we both dreamed of starting a family.

That’s when my mind started racing, and everything began to click. Why didn’t he talk about work? Why didn’t he have any friends or family?
The next morning, I waited for him to leave for work, then reached out to the woman. What she told me would forever change my life.
The woman on Facebook claimed to be the mother of the woman in the picture. She said my fiancé was her son-in-law. Her daughter, along with her two grandchildren, had been missing for years.
She sent me police reports detailing my fiancé’s dark past. He was wanted in connection with the disappearance of his wife—his ex-wife—who was incredibly wealthy. According to the report, she and their children had vanished without a trace. My fiancé had left the country, changed his name, and altered his appearance to start over.
Horrified, I contacted the police. I tried to act normal around him, but he could sense something was off. He became suspicious of my behavior.
