Kwara State Police Command initiates investigation into the death of a 21-year-old Kwara State College of Health Technology student, Awesu Mojisola.
According to DSP Toun Ejire-Adeyemi, the spokesperson for the command, a local resident (Olorunoje) alerted the police about an unknown female body found in one of the refuse sites around Aleniboro area, Ilorin on August 11, 2024.
Detectives were sent to the scene after receiving this information and they discovered blood stains near her left ear. The corpse was subsequently identified as Miss Awesu Mojisola.
It followed from investigations that Mojisola had been missing since August 9th, 2024 after she was invited to her colleague’s (Adebayo Happiness) event under mysterious circumstances.
Further details emerged when Miss Blessing O reported her missing and stated that Mojisola had complained about being uncomfortable with the hotel where Happiness took her as there was no event organized there. After this, Mojisola switched off her
phone and all attempts to reach her were unsuccessful.
The police are still investigating what led to the death of Mojisola in its entirety.
