Early on Sunday, there was a crash on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway, and 13 passengers got injured.
The accident took place near Car Park C in Ogun State around 4:55 am, according to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC).
Florence Okpe, the FRSC spokesperson in Ogun State, shared that their team quickly responded to help the people involved. Out of the 22 people in the crash (21 men and 1 woman), 13 got injured – 12 men and 1 woman. Thankfully, no one lost their life.
The crash involved three trucks with the plates KBT205XB, KJA230Y, and DUT35XE. There was also a Toyota Corolla car with the registration MUS793HM and a Toyota Hiace bus marked FG369-F20.
The likely reasons for the crash were road blockage and driving too fast, leading to a loss of control.
"The injured victims were taken to Farmobis Hospital Mowe Lotto for medical attention," said Okpe.
Anthony Uga, the Ogun Sector Commander of the FRSC, advised drivers to be careful on the road and drive defensively.
