ASUU Strike: Hope Rises For KASU Students As Senate Meets Wednesday

Must Read

Students of the Kaduna state University (Kasu), Kaduna

are hopeful that their institution will pull out of the ongoing strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), as members of Senate of the institution meet on Wednesday.

Recall that ASUU began a one month warning strike that ended on Sunday, but early Monday extended the strike for two months.

The case for Kasuites may be different as the Vice Chancellor, while responding to a student’s question on Twitter about what becomes of the recently reviewed academic calender, encouraged students to be hopeful, saying that the Senate will decide if Kasu continues to observe the strike.

Meanwhile, many students are unhappy over the developments because after many years of uninterrupted academic calendar, Kasu.has once again been caught in the web of ASUU strike.

The VC, aware of the complaints of students, may have resulted in the release of a reviewed academic calendar which the institution may be determined to keep despite the ongoing ASUU strike.

Students are hopeful and fingers crossed with ears are on the ground to know what their fate becomes on Wednesday after the meeting of Senate
