Former Aviation Minister, Fani-Kayode, clears the air about this former invitation by the EFCC.
Fani-Kayode a former Aviation Minister and chieftain of APC has announced publicly on his recent invitation by the EFCC.
The honorable man claims that he is not above the law. Neither thus joining APC gives him automatic immunity over arrest or detention.
Following his previous invitation. The former Minister was honored at the Lagos State office of the anti-graft agency. Which later saw him being granted bail based on self-recognition.
However, following recent reaction via the media section. Chief Fani-Kayode makes it clear through his social media accounts, that joining the APC doesn't give him immunity and that APC doesn't shield those found culpable of any kind of offenses.
The politician took time over his social media handle, to deal with critics accusing them of hatred and spreading false news
He wrote
"I pity those that said I was arrested. They are filled with hate and live on fake news. Since when did an invitation and friendly chat become an arrest? And even if I had been arrested, SO WHAT? I am not above the law, and neither does joining APC give me immunity. My God is MIGHTY!".
Before these, Fani-Kayode had already cleared the air about what happened at the anti-graft office [Lagos], saying he had a
"Free chat for over 4 hours and was released on bail"
He continued,
"Just arrived at the George hotel for dinner. I was never arrested by the EFCC. I was invited and I flew down to Lagos to see them. I arrived at the office at 2 p.m. and left at 8:30 p.m. I was granted bail on self-recognition. They were very polite and professional. Thanks be to God" Fani-Kayode concluded
On the other side, the EFCC has declined further comment on the matter. This information was passed out through one of EFCC's spokesperson on the issue.
