This is the recorded sorrowful history of plane crashes so far in Nigeria.
1. Nigeria first experience plane crash on 28 November 1969. when a government-owned DC-10 aircraft on a flight from London crashes, when landing in Lagos killing 87 passengers and crew on board.
2 in 1973, a Boeing 707 plane crashed in Kano, killing 171 passengers and five crew returning from Mecca.
3. In March, 1978 a former 28 Nigerian airways crashed in Kano, killing 16 people.
4. In 3rd December, 1988. In Nigeria airway forker 28 crashes in Enugu, killing 103 passengers. And in that same month, a skypower brandeironte aircraft overshot Ilorin airport runway and killed all passengers on board.

5. on 24th February 1991. A British helicopter crashed in Eket, akwa Ibom state killing all nine persons on board.
6. on 26th June 1991. A Cessna citation 550 of Ashaka cement hombe, crashed killing all on board.
7. On 21st May, 1991. An Okada air-bac 11 also crashed in sokoto killing three persons.
8. On 26th September, 1992. Tears run through Nigeria's eyes when NAF C-130 hercules from Lagos to Kaduna crashed at Ejigbo, Lagos killing all 157 military officers.
9. On 17th January, 1996. Ibrahim Abacha first son of late general Sani Abacha and 13 others were killed in a plane crash.
10. On 12th September, 1997, ANAF Domier 228-212 in Nguru Borno state ran into a ditch during the take off, none of the 10 persona on board died. Also on 26th October 2000. A Domier aircraft plunged into a thick bush in Niger Delta none of the six on board died but sustained injuries.
11. On 4th May 2002. An EAS airline BAC 1-11 going to Lagos from Kano plowed into a poor, densely populated suburb of Kano shortly after take-off. Killing 148 persons and 76 on board other on the ground.
12. on 26th July 2004. A pan African airline helicopter crashed into the Atlantic ocean in escravos, Delta State. the 4 on board died.
13. On 28 March 2013. An ADC Boeing 737 from Calabar airport skidded off the runway out of The 100 persons on board non died.
14. on 24th June 2005. A Russian aircraft belonging to Harka Air crashed when landing at the murtala Mohammed airport, all persons on board died.
15. on 6th July 2005. An Air France A330 plane crashed into a herd of cattle at Port Harcourt airport sustaining serious damage and killing many of the cows.
16. On July 13th 2015. A Ugandan registered cargo aircraft belonging to almiron aviation overshot the runway at murtala Muhammed airport. No casualties was sustained. On 23rd July 2015. Lufthansa aircraft crashed when landing at Lagos airport and was seriously damaged but no life was lost.
17. On 22nd October 2005. Bellview airline Boeing 737 crashed at Lissa Ogun State soon after takeoff from Lagos killing 117 persons on board.
18. 10th December 2015. Sosoliso airlines dc-9 crashed at the Port Harcourt airport killing 103 persons on board among those killed were 62 pupils of the loyola Jesuit school Abuja who were returning to Port Harcourt for the Christians holidays.
19. On 17th September 2006 to stop and Air Force Lumia 228 212 aircraft carrying 18% on board 10 army generals and 4 Colonels crashed into the hills of Ushongo village in Benue State, 18 nautical miles from its destination in Cross River State. they all died.
20. on 29th October 2006. An ADC Boeing 737 flight carrying 114 persons on board from Abuja to sokoto crashed killing 106 persons. Those that died include sultan of sokoto, Alhaji Mohammed maccido, his son, senator Badamasi maccido alhaji shehu shagari.
21. on 10th November 2006. And OAS service helicopter carrying 4 on board crashed in warri delta state. Killing all on board..
22. ON 15TH MARCH 2008. A bee craft 1900D plane marked 5N-J A H belonging to wing aviation carrying 4 persons on board crashed in the mountainous forest of Busi in cross river state on its way to abuja airstrip. The wreckage was not found until six months after the disappearance of the aircraft, all on board died.
23. On 30th July 2011. And helicopter belonging to okay then well service crashed on the okay Underhill inside the osun state government reserve in a Ikonifin, a pastor with the redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Mrs. Josephine Kuteyi and her personal assistant Mrs. Oyebola Okubanja died in the crash.
24. On 3rd June 2012. A Dana Air flight from Abuja to Lagos crashed into residential building in Iju, near Lagos killing a number of persons.
25. On 21st February 2021. A military Beechceaft king Air. 350i, was on its way to the city of Minna 110 killmetres (68 miles) northwest of the Capital crashed and killed 7 persons on board.
