A 41-year-old Nigerian man has sparked mixed reactions after boldly declaring his search for a wife, despite being unemployed. His only condition? The woman must be earning at least ₦200,000 monthly.
Daniel, a graduate, described himself as a tall, handsome, brown-skinned man who can cook, stay loyal, and perform well in bed. He said he is willing to settle down immediately with a serious-minded woman, as long as she meets his criteria.
“I’m not married. I don’t have a child. I don’t have a job either, but I’m ready to start life with a serious woman,” he wrote in a heartfelt message shared online.
Daniel explained that he is not out to deceive or use anyone. He believes in partnership and wants to build a future with someone who is already financially stable so they can plan together.
“All I ask is that the woman should be working and earning at least ₦200,000 per month for a start. While she handles that, I can figure out how to earn too. I’m not lazy,” he stated.
Daniel stressed that he is looking for a light-skinned woman between the ages of 30 and 40, with at least a diploma. He does not want someone who already has a child, and added that he prefers slim ladies because he wants to be able to carry his wife with ease.
“I’m writing with a sincere heart,” he pleaded.
“I’m not here for money. I’m willing for us to marry anytime, as long as we’re financially ready. No games.”
Daniel’s post has since gone viral, with many social media users debating his approach. Some praised his honesty, while others questioned why a jobless man would set such high conditions.
Still, Daniel insists that he is offering more than just looks or charm. He believes that if given the chance, he can become a supportive husband, as long as the woman brings stability and respect into the relationship.
For some, Daniel’s message reflects the growing reality of modern relationships where financial survival is now a key topic. In a country where joblessness among graduates remains a big issue, his condition is bold, if not controversial.
Whether he finds love or not, Daniel’s words have reminded many people that love and money are now tightly linked — and for some, two heads are truly better than one.
