A woman, Ewatomi Oritoke Omowumi, has set tongues wagging on social media after revealing why her marriage has been on rocky ground. The Lagos-based woman shared on Facebook that her husband is upset with her for cooking for her ex, who just returned from abroad.
In her post, Omowumi explained that she and her husband have not spoken for 13 days. She said the trouble started when her husband fell asleep in the living room two weeks ago and she left him there. Later, she cooked for her ex—who is the father of her first child—and spent the day with him. She returned home the next day.
Her husband found out and was furious. He called her mother to complain. Omowumi’s mother asked her to apologise, but she refused, saying she did nothing wrong. She added that she and her ex had separated over eight years ago but remained friends because of their child.
Many people online are divided over the issue. Some say it was wrong for her to cook for her ex without telling her husband, while others say it was just a kind gesture.
