A tragic incident rocked Okop Ndua Erong, Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, on Thursday afternoon as a young man, Victor Akpabio, was beaten to death after he was allegedly caught in bed with a married woman who is seven months pregnant.
Victor, said to be from Ididep in Ibiono Ibom, was reportedly found in a compromising position with Esther Akpabio Effiong, the wife of a well-known local businessman popularly called Mulgu. According to eyewitnesses, the shocking discovery sparked outrage in the community.
Victor was allegedly doused with hot water and brutally beaten by members of the community. He later died from the injuries he sustained.
Sources claimed that Esther, despite being heavily pregnant, blamed her husband’s sexual performance for her infidelity. She reportedly referred to him as a “two-minute man” who could hardly satisfy her.
The gruesome incident has thrown the entire community into shock and disbelief, with many demanding that the authorities intervene and bring those responsible to justice.
As at the time of filing this report, police authorities have not yet released an official statement.
Meanwhile, social media is buzzing with mixed reactions, with some calling for justice for Victor, while others question the moral choices that led to the tragic event.
In a lighter moment, some are poking fun at the circumstances, asking why the man in the viral image was “exposing his small preeeeq” to the world of women. One cheeky comment read, “Don’t forget to come and beat me now at Itam Flyover.”
For now, the community remains tense as they await official action.
