I tried to laugh it off, but she told me she had heard me crying and insisted that I speak up. At that moment, I couldn’t hold back anymore—I broke down and told her everything: my husband has been seeing a young lady for the past six months.
I never expected what happened next. My mother-in-law looked at me calmly and said, “Do you have trousers of my size?” I was confused but said yes. She said, “Give me,” so I gave her the trousers. She brought the phone to me in the kitchen. Together, we sent a message to the side chick saying, “Meet me at a certain place tomorrow at 6 am. It’s urgent.”
When morning came, my mother-in-law and I left my husband snoring in bed. We went to the meeting point, and as soon as we arrived, I spotted the side chick. She was wearing a blonde wig, and I pointed her out to my mother-in-law. Before I knew it, my mother-in-law walked straight towards her, dragging me along, and confronted her. She told the girl to stay away from my husband. The girl started raising her voice and shouting like someone who had too much to drink. I, who don’t even have the strength to fight, just stood there staring.
Suddenly, my mother-in-law landed a punch on the girl. The side chick tried to fight back but missed. That’s when my mother-in-law jumped on her, and the girl fell to the ground. My mother-in-law gave her several hot slaps and even broke her two front teeth. People came running to help the girl, but my mother-in-law wasn’t done. She dragged her by the hair and tried to give her one final kick. Unfortunately, she missed, and that’s how she twisted her leg.
I quickly rushed my mother-in-law to the hospital. She’s stable now, and the doctors say they’ll discharge her in the morning. But now I’m worried and scared. How do I tell my husband that we’re in the hospital—and why we’re here? I can’t imagine how he’ll react to the news that his own mother fought with his side chick in public.
I’ve been replaying the incident in my head, wondering what I could have done differently. Should I have tried to stop my mother-in-law? Should I have told her not to interfere? I’m just so confused right now.
