I don’t want to bore you with a long story, so I’ll keep it brief.
I got married in 2018, and since then, I’ve been trying to conceive. It has been a rollercoaster journey filled with hope and disappointment. In 2023, we decided to hire a house help, as managing the house was becoming difficult. My husband and I informed my mother-in-law, and she brought a girl from the village—a "good girl," as she described her.
When the girl arrived, she was 16 years old. From the very first day, I didn’t like her. She seemed too bold and looked like someone who had already been exposed to worldly ways. However, I decided to keep her, trusting my mother-in-law’s recommendation and reminding myself that my husband was often away for work.
That’s when everything started to change.
Since this girl moved in, my husband’s behavior has been completely different. Previously, he would stay home for a week at most and then leave for work, sometimes not returning for an entire month. But after the girl came, he stopped traveling for work altogether. He started coming home every day, claiming there had been changes in his work schedule.
At first, I didn’t think much of it, but then I noticed he began buying things for the house help. While I didn’t mind the clothes and shoes, what bothered me was the fact that he also bought her pants and bras. I found this completely inappropriate and started complaining about it.
Instead of stopping, he began hiding these purchases from me. But I discovered receipts, and when I checked her room, I found the new innerwear. This confirmed my suspicions. I began to suspect that my husband was sleeping with her.
One day, I confronted the girl directly. I asked her if my husband had ever touched her. She denied it vehemently, saying she was still a virgin and even suggested that I call a doctor to confirm it. Her response left me confused and weak.
I demanded that my husband send the girl away, but he outright refused. He told me, "If you’re not comfortable with her, then you should leave this house."
I was shocked. What was going on between my husband and this girl?
Last week, I decided to check my husband’s phone, and what I found shattered me completely. There was a text message from my mother-in-law that read:
"Make sure your barren wife doesn’t chase your only child away. She’s unable to give you a child, so don’t let her ruin your chances of living with your daughter and giving her the best. And make sure you don’t tell your wife, or she might poison the girl. You can end the marriage and focus on your child instead."
