Nigerian social media influencer Blord has publicly attacked human rights activist Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), following the announcement of a cyberattack on his NGO’s website.
VDM revealed that hackers had infiltrated his organisation’s website, diverting ₦160 million meant for charity. He announced that ₦20 million is remaining, and he was travelling to Jos with the police to continue investigations.
However, Blord reacted harshly on social media, accusing VDM of mismanaging the funds. In a series of posts, Blord mocked VDM, claiming he was incompetent in handling public donations. He wrote, “You can’t even manage small $120k Nigerians gave you, not even for six months.” He added insults, saying, “It won’t be well for your mother and her generation.”
Blord further threatened legal action, stating he would sue VDM if the remaining funds weren’t recovered within 30 days. He accused VDM of diverting public funds and using false pretences to collect donations.
This attack has sparked mixed reactions online. While some people criticised Blord for his harsh words, others questioned VDM’s management of such a large amount of money.
