Must Read
This story comes from a man who said: "I used myself and all my family members for money rituals."
"By the time you read this, I will be long gone, and this account too. I was born into a very poor family, and I vowed to change my situation no matter the cost. I wanted my children to grow up in wealth and never experience the kind of suffering I went through.
"I worked hard my whole life, but nothing seemed to work out. So I left the village and moved to Benin to stay with a friend. We were four guys sharing one room, each doing odd jobs and splitting bills to survive.
"One day, one of the guys came back with what he thought was a solution to all our problems. He said he’d found a place where we could all go and return rich. All we had to do was donate a little blood, and we’d be paid millions of Naira.
"Desperate, we all followed him. But when we got there, it was something entirely different. We were told it wasn’t just about donating blood—it was either we joined fully, or we faced severe consequences. We had no choice but to join.
"For me, the price was steep: I had to use my mother for the ritual. I didn’t want to do it, but I wasn’t given an option. So I did it, and the money came.
"Then came the turn of my sister. She didn’t die but ran mad. A car hit her one day, and she died instantly. My stepmother was next, and she was the easiest because I didn’t like her anyway.
"Once I had used everyone in my family, there was no one left to continue the bloodline sacrifices. So I started getting girls pregnant. As soon as they gave birth, I’d use the child for the rituals.
"But my mother’s spirit never left me. She haunts me day and night. I see her everywhere—when I’m awake, when I’m asleep, even during important meetings. She’s always there, staring at me.
"I ran back to the Baba who performed the rituals, begging him for a solution. But he told me that nothing could be done. He said it’s my cross to carry for biting the hand that fed me. He told me that no matter what, my mother would remain a superior being over me.
"My businesses are failing. Every time I try to rise, her presence stops me. The guilt and torment are unbearable, and I just want to end it all and go to rest.
"I know I’ve done terrible things. I pray that God forgives me and grants me peace in the afterlife. Young boys, please keep your hands clean. This world is deeper than you think, and the devil never gives without taking in return."
