Ingredients:
- 2 cups of Tiger Nuts (Dried or Fresh)
- 1 medium-sized Ginger
- 10 Dates
- 1 Coconut (Crack the shell and extract the flesh for blending)
Preparation Process:
Step 1:
- If you're using dried tiger nuts, start by soaking them in clean water overnight to soften them up. Ensure you remove any dirt or debris from the tiger nuts before soaking.
Step 2:
- After soaking, rinse and wash the tiger nuts thoroughly.
- Place the soaked tiger nuts in a blender.
- Remove the seeds from the dates, wash them, and add them to the blender.
- Peel the ginger and add it to the blender as well.
- Dice the coconut flesh and add it to the blender.
- Add a little water or coconut water to the blender to facilitate blending.
- Blend all the ingredients until smooth.
Step 3:
- Using a Pap/Cheese cloth or a fine strainer, strain the blended mixture into a bowl to extract the milk.
- The first strain will yield a thicker milk. Repeat the process by placing the chaff (residue) back into the blender, adding more water, blending, and straining again to extract as much milk as possible. Aim for a consistency that's not too watery for better taste.
Step 4:
- Once all the milk has been extracted, transfer it to a container and refrigerate to chill.
