President Tinubu Approves N12bn Outstanding Payments for National Teams and Athletes

 President Tinubu has given the green light for the release of N12 billion to cover outstanding payments for national sports teams and athletes. 

This decision, which comes as a significant relief to the sports community, was confirmed by Sports Minister John Enoh.

 The approved funds will address a range of financial obligations, including the long-overdue payments to the Super Eagles Coach, who is owed approximately $1.3 million. 

The allocation will extend to the senior national team, as well as other national teams encompassing female and under-20 categories.
