A young man who was trying to use his mother to make money money has been arrested by residents of Imo Province. The incident took place in Owerri, the state capital.
The mother of a boy identified as Eziada Chika Mbachu reportedly survived several stab wounds by her son before being rescued.
Regarding the woman's escape, he said: “My mother was screaming for help with blood stains and wounds on her body. Neighbors heard about it and rushed to her aid. They rescued him. When the son saw many people coming, he stopped attacking his mother.
“It was then that the mother collapsed and began to cry and the neighbors rescued her and separated her from her son.
“ the woman was rushed to Federal Medical Center, the hospital for treatment so that she could start treatment immediately due to a knife cut. The police arrested the boy and took him to the police station. ”
She thanked God saying: “I thank God for rescuing me. I thank God for rescuing me. I thank my neighbours for rescuing me. I thank everybody who came to my rescue. I thank my neighbours. God in heaven I say honour to your name.”
In response, Mgilwa's mother, Mrs Mbachu, is believed to be a believer in Holy Trinity Catholic Parish at the world bank in Owerri.
Eyewitnesses said he was on his way from Abuja to donate the woman but when the plot failed, he lost consciousness.
